Move over mini because this year I\u2019m all about the midi skirt. I\u2019m loving midis because they are great for work or a more casual environment. In this post I\u2019m highlighting why I love these skirts, how to style them and where to buy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I Might Be Getting Old<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So I went to the mall the other day and all I can say is I saw a lot of skin. A lot of young girls were rocking the crop top and short shorts. I saw some cheeks I didn\u2019t need to see. Which made me think am I getting old or are these girls baring too much skin? I decided a little of both. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In high school my shorts were pretty short, but the shorts I saw at the mall were shorter than anything I’ve ever worn. I don\u2019t want to sound like I\u2019m being judgmental toward other women because that\u2019s not what I\u2019m about, but I definitely do think there is a fine line between cute and cringey. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Identifying Appropriate Length<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My mission when shopping is often to find pieces that I can be worn to work. I am fortunate to work in an environment that has a \u201csmart casual\u201d dress code. Basically this means that jeans and a blouse are okay, but a hooded sweatshirt isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I use the credit card rule to determine if a skirt is appropriate for work. If the space between the top of your knee and the end of the skirt is longer than the width of a credit card, it is too short. Also, generally if you have to question if it\u2019s inappropriate it probably is. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midi skirts are great because there is no questioning where the length is appropriate! And the high waist makes them even more flattering!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leopard Midi Skirt<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Everyone is wearing leopard and I searched quite a bit for the perfect leopard midi skirt at a good price. This skirt<\/a> is the first thing I\u2019ve ever purchased from Shein. I\u2019ve been nervous to order from Shein but I tried it and I\u2019m so happy with the quality! It is only $17.00 and worth every penny in my opinion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pair Midi Skirts With a Graphic Tee<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

My favorite way to wear a midi skirt is with a white graphic tee. Graphic tees are a fun way to make a statement or say something silly. I chose to pair this midi skirt with a shirt that says \u201cBrunette.\u201d I bought this shirt<\/a> from Etsy and it arrived in packaging that was covered with pizza slices – so cute! Although I do like this shirt<\/a>, it did fit a little long so I would only wear it tucked in.\u00a0Also, the sleeves were an odd length so I rolled them to look more feminine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
