Wedding season is upon us. Have you figured out what you’ll be wearing? A wedding invite is the perfect excuse to buy a new dress! Let’s discuss some trends and my top picks for guest wedding dresses this spring and summer.
What I’m Wearing
This dress and similar styles were everywhere last summer. I was obsessed with it then and I still am. The lace detail is still very on trend and it is flattering while still being an appropriate length. I purchased this dress last summer and it is a total dupe. I was looking for a less expensive alternative to the similar ASTR the Label dress available at Nordstrom ($89) and found this one on Amazon for half the price.
This is one of my favorite Amazon purchases to date. I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality. It fit comfortably around my chest and did not fall too low. The straps were also adjustable, I am wearing a small for reference.
Unfortunately it is looking like the Amazon seller is struggling to keep this dress in stock. The availability has changed from when I first started writing this post. Otherwise, this Amazon dress might be a good alternative or this dress from Nordstrom Rack. I swear I will get better at sharing content in a more timely fashion!
Pearl Hair Clips
Everyone is wearing these pearl hair clips! I love this trend because it dresses up even the simplest of outfits and the pearl look ads a touch of class. These hair clips come in a pack of four from Amazon and are only $8.99.
Pair these clips with simple white pearl earrings and be careful not to over accessorize. You can play with the combination of clips that come in the package or keep it simple with just one.
Colors I’m Currently Loving
When looking at guest wedding dresses, I tend to be leaning toward three colors for spring and summer; lilac/lavender, light blue, and red. Below are some options of each of these colors with varying price ranges.
Lavender or lilac make for the perfect dress! Since the one I bought is going in and out of stock, I wanted to share a variety of options. I really like look number one, it’s $44.97 at Nordstrom Rack.
I am loving light blue lately as well. It reminds me of Cinderella, and who doesn’t want to look like her? I am obsessed with option number six from Lulu’s, it’s $66 and looks so whimsical!
Red is a classic and always a good choice! My favorite from these options is number one from Red Dress Boutique, it’s $60.
