Lately I’ve been wearing the same heatless hairstyles on repeat. Normally I curl my hair almost everyday, but now that I’m staying at home I don’t see the point. Even though I’ve said goodbye to my curling iron for the time being, I still want to feel put together. In this post you’ll find five simple, heatless hairstyles

Before I begin, I want to stress that I did all of these styles on my natural hair. Of course these would all look better if I had curled or straightened my hair, but that’s not the point of this post.
I’m loving the idea of applying less heat to my hair right now while I’m staying at home. Hopefully my hair will be healthier than ever once the quarantine is over.
Here is what my natural hair looks like:
I don’t wash my hair everyday and pictured is the second day after my last wash. My hair texture has changed throughout the years. It used to be fairly curly, but now it just has a few small waves.
I will admit, I am pretty lucky that I am able to get my natural hair to look like this, but I can relate to other hair types because it used to be curly and frizzy!
There are two hair products that I swear by right now. The first being the Aveda damage remedy daily hair repair. I apply this to the ends of my hair after every shower. I first received it in a FabFitFun Box, I go into more details of how I love this product in my review of the box.
The second hair product is this DryBar prime and prep detangler. I apply this to the ends of my hair before curling or styling. It helps to protect your hair from heat but I also like how smooth it makes you feel. I also originally received this product in a FabFitFun box.
Five Heatless Hairstyles
If you’re at home and wanting to feel a little more put together I recommend you try these five hairstyles. They’re especially good if you have to video chat.
Create Fun Pigtails
Split your hair in two and secure with small, plastic rubber bands. Then secure an elastic around three inches below the first on each side and flip your hair through. Continue this until you run out of hair!
I’m still perfecting this look, but it is super fun and playful!
Clip Half of Your Hair Back with Jaw Clips
Use a large jaw clip to pull the front of your hair to the back. The front of my hair is always the frizziest, so simply pulling it back can be a big help.
Low Ponytail with a Hair Scarf
Again, this one is super easy and all you need is an accessory. In this photo I’m actually wearing a scrunchie with a scarf attached. But you can just as easily pull you hair back and then wrap a scarf or bandana around your ponytail.
Side Braid
We recently rewatched the Hunger Games series so I’ve been inspired to wear the side braid lately. Such an easy look! Be sure to secure with a small elastic so it doesn’t look chunky. Consider adding a hair scarf to the end of your braid to dress it up!
Flipped Half Back Hairstyle
Adding a little flip to your hair can dress it up so much! Pull the front of your hair back and secure with an elastic and then flip the ponytail through to create this heatless hairstyle.
In these times, I think it’s more important now than ever to make sure you are taking care of yourself. Even though I’m not leaving the house, I still make sure I get up every morning, get dressed, put on some makeup and do something simple with my hair. These little things have a huge impact on my overall mood and productivity.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post about my favorite heatless hairstyles right now! I hope you are all staying safe and healthy!
