If you are wanting to take cute photos the morning of your wedding, you are probably going to want to purchase some getting ready outfits. I was somewhat particular about these outfits so I did a lot of searching for the ones I selected. In this post you will find affordable bride and bridesmaids robes and pajama sets.

Getting Ready Photos
Our photographer arrived at noon the day of the wedding to begin taking our getting ready photos. I wanted to wear a lace robe and have my bridesmaids in some satin pajamas.
If you are looking to cut costs on your wedding, this is one area I would recommend skipping. After the wedding is over, the bridesmaid getting ready photos aren’t going to be your favorites from the day. You’ll be more interested in looking at the photos of you and your spouse!
However, since I wanted the entire day photographed I really wanted to get these photos in an affordable way. I also wanted to gift some cute pajamas to my bridesmaids.
Bride Getting Ready Outfits
I purchased my getting ready outfit from Etsy and loved it! It was simple, cute and under $40. The whole set came with a robe, a slip dress and a sash. You can customize the sash if you would like but I didn’t see a need for that.
One thing I’m not loving is anything with words on it. For example, when I was searching if it had the word “bride” on it then I wasn’t interested in it.
Bridal Robes
Here are some options if you’re looking for a robe on your special day.
Bridal Pajamas
Many brides are opting to go down the pajama route instead of robes. Here are some fun pajama options!
Bridesmaids Getting Ready Outfits
I was VERY particular about what my bridesmaids would wear the morning of my wedding. I didn’t want to get them satin robes because I just didn’t feel like they would get very much use after the wedding. Instead, I wanted to find some simple pajamas! And definitely nothing with the word “bridesmaid” on it. Your gals don’t want anything with that word on it.
After hours of searching (I’m not joking) I finally decided to purchase these sets from Nasty Gal. The color was similar to our wedding colors. I liked that they were simple and the little ruffle was a cute detail. One thing to note is that they can go down a little low. I suggested all the girls bring a cami just in case.
Bridesmaids Pajama Sets
I also recommend hanging and steaming all the getting ready outfits before the wedding day. These sets were wrinkled when they arrived in the mail. This is the steamer I have, it works great! And don’t forget to bring a steamer for your big day.
