Is it ever too early to start planning your Halloween costume? I’ve come up with five Halloween costumes inspired by movies from the early 2000s. Y2K fashion has made a comeback so I don’t think there could be a better time to pull out these costumes – and some of these pieces you could wear again.

Early 2000s Halloween Costumes
The early 2000s hold a special place in my heart. Overall, the time is very nostalgic for me so it was a lot of fun putting these costumes together.
Every Halloween costume I’ve created can be purchased on Amazon. Why? Because whenever I’m scrambling to find something last minute I like to order from Amazon.

13 Going On 30 Halloween Costume
The famous 13 Going on 30 dress has been trending on TikTok and I’ve even seen people wearing it not as a costume. There was one TikTok I saw of a young girl wearing the dress and she didn’t even realize it was from a movie – she just thought it was a cute dress! Amazon has this dress available from a few different sellers.
To pull off this costume, I think the two most important pieces are the dress and a large butterfly necklace. You could skip the rest.
With this costume you’ll be thirty, flirty and THRIVING. 🙂
Legally Blonde Costume
“You got into Harvard Law? What like it’s hard?” Legally Blonde is one of my favorite movies. I think going as Elle Woods for Halloween can be really easy! Wear all pink and make it look business-y.
I found this cute set on Amazon that is affordable and I think would be great for an Elle Woods costume. Usually I would say skip the wig for a Halloween costume however if you aren’t blonde, you should wear a blonde wig. Feel free to add some more pink accessories and do different shades of pink. Bruiser is optional but I think he really makes the look!
There are also actual Legally Blonde costumes you can buy but I like building the costumes myself so they are unique.
Bring It On Costume
I memorized the cheer from Bring It On when I was way too young – it’s a classic. This Halloween costume idea would be great to do with a friend! One could be a Toro and the other could be a Clover.
Amazon does have Clover and Toro cheer uniforms but they are pricey ($80+). The uniforms I’ve selected are more generic but much more affordable.
The Clovers uniform was hard to find, I recommend going with a green and white uniform and then accessorizing with yellow (pom poms and a hair bow). If you don’t like that option, here is another one.
Miss Congeniality Costume
My favorite part about dressing up as Miss Congeniality is that you can wear combat boots! The basic elements of the costume are the pink dress, a white sash, combat boots and a badge.
For the sash you could wear it blank, buy a blank one and write what you want on it, or have one customized. This FBI hat could be kind of fun to wear with it as well.
On the cover of the movie, she has a holster on her leg with a badge. I don’t think you have to do that, but if you want, you could buy this to put around your leg and then slip a badge onto it.
Zenon Halloween Costume
Here’s how to be a super nova girl on Halloween! The most important elements of this look are the pink body suit and the blue vest and skirt.
I struggled to find a vest and skirt that matched. The ones I selected aren’t an exact match, if you would prefer you could buy the skirt in a metallic silver skirt as well.
